THE PURPOSE OF BEING
AN AHAM SPONSOR:
The Purpose of being an AHAM Sponsor is to support other AHAM participants
(or sponsees requesting Sponsorship) in their quest for spiritual enlightenment.
This means being available when called upon at any time needed and standing
by the sponsee in his/her process of releasing body-mind identification,
and his fixation to this conditioned, false concept as being self. It
is encouraging and supporting the sponsee in bringing to an end this
addictive habit pattern of living identified with the duality of the
body-mind – including all the conditioned patterns and tendencies
of the past that give rise to self-doubt, fear, guilt, compulsive desire,
supposed limitation, suspicion, anger, resentment, etc. – and
instead supporting him/her in choosing to remain calm, clear, free and
committed to steady abidance in the One Reality or true Self, which
is the I AM, or Consciousness of pure Being,
An AHAM Sponsor is someone
who can be trusted by the sponsee to share life experiences with –
both good and bad; someone he can go to with personal problems thought
to be too personal or delicate to openly share with the AHAM group.
An AHAM Sponsor should
demonstrate a consistent, accurate and proven ability in the practice
of Self-Inquiry, in the immutability of AHAM’s Seven Basic
Truths™ on one’s personal or worldly life situations
and the proficiency of AHAM's Completion Process™,
and is someone who is truly involved in practicing all aspects of AHAM’s
Conscious Teaching in daily life.
An AHAM Sponsor is someone
serving as an exemplary guide to those sponsee's choosing to live, practice
and apply AHAM’s Conscious Teaching, especially when they are
going through the normal “ups and downs” of life, as well
as the many difficulties they are now facing, or will in the future
be facing in finally dropping the long, strongly held addiction to body-mind
identification.
This means the strong and
steady support for one and all to live in alignment with true enlightenment,
and it being lived as everyone's natural state.
