“That in which all
these worlds are fixed, of which they are, from which they arise, for
which they exist, because of which they come into being, and which they
really are – THAT alone is the Real, the Truth. That is the Treasure
of the Heart.”

“In the interior
of the Heart-cave there shines alone the One Brahman (Lord God) as ‘I-I,’
the self- conscious Atman (Self). Realize the State of steadfast inherence
in the Self, entering into the Heart either by diving deep within through
Self-Inquiry or by submergence of the mind through breath-control.”

“Every living being
longs always to be happy, untainted by sorrow; and everyone has the
greatest love for himself, which is solely due to the fact that happiness
is his real nature. Hence, in order to realize that inherent and untainted
happiness, which indeed he daily experiences when the mind is subdued
in deep sleep, it is essential that he should know himself. For obtaining
such knowledge the inquiry ‘Who am I?’ in quest of the Self
is the best means.”
